SUMMARY:Musical Tribute to Joanne Shenandoah
DESCRIPTION:A special memorial and concert to celebrate the legacy of Grammy winner and famed Native American singer and songwriter\, Joanne Shenandoah\, at Auburn Public Theater\, downtown Auburn\, New York.  The tribute concert features Joanne’s dear friends and family members: The Ripcords with Rex Lyons & Irv Lyons\, Jr. (Oneida Nation)\, ripping it up with Blues\, Latin & Tex Mex music; soulful vocals by Pura Fe (Tuscarora/Taino); recording artist and humanitarian\, Joanelle Romero (Apache/Cheyenne); Joanne’s performing partners including her sister\, Diane\, and daughter\, Leah (Oneida Nation); and others. \nThis event is sponsored by Dr. Bob and Zohara Hieronimus; Cayuga Community College Student Activities Board; Wells College; Central New York National Organization for Women (CNY NOW); and Women’s Institute for Leadership and Learning (WILL). \nTickets are available at Auburn Public Theater or at AuburnPublicTheater.org.  All event proceeds will benefit the Joanne Shenandoah family.

DESCRIPTION:Rematriation: Restoring Balance to Humanity\nThe 2022 Seneca Falls Dialogues event will engage all audiences with an intriguing look at social influences\, governance\, peace and the limited resources humankind must share to survive.   Rematriation: Restoring Balance to Humanity will bring participants on a journey that will challenge existing perspectives and educate through active dialogue and participation. \nGoverned by principles of peace for over 1000 years\, the Haudenosaunee Confederacy is the oldest living democracy on the planet.  Haudenosaunee women will share knowledge and insight into a healing world view. \nAt a time when many seek answers\, is it possible that ancient traditions hold the key to our survival? \nJoin us October 7\, 8\, 9 for a conference that focuses on an exchange of significant ideas in the tradition of Stanton and Anthony.  Learn how to apply Haudenosaunee wisdom and become an ally for Rematriation. \nSeveral registration options are available\, including an all-access pass to weekend events.  For those unable to participate in the entire weekend\, there is a Dinner-only and/or Sunday-Brunch-only option offered as well.   \n\nFor registration information\, click here.\n \nA special event on October 10 ends the Dialogues weekend\, as Women March and CNY NOW host a special musical tribute to honor the legacy of Joanne Shenandoah at Auburn Public Theater.  Get tickets to the concert here.
